Animation workshop is fully booked.

We only had 12 places for our summer animation workshop - Exploring Motion Image and all of them are booked now. We are sorry but we cannot accept new applications.

Exploring Motion Image - Summer Animation Workshop in Out In The Sticks Cultural Centre

We are very excited to announce that we have received the Canada Council for the Arts grant for the animation workshop for youth this summer. Our workshop instructor will be talented young film-maker James Greatrex.

The workshop will run from August 16th to September 4th: three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, from 10 am to 3:30 pm with half an hour lunch break. It's designed for the ages 7 to 17, but if you think that your 5-year old is bright enough to participate, or if you are 18 and you really would love to take part, we may talk about it.

Participation is by donation  (minimum donation is $ 35, but please feel free to donate more).

The Pinhole event in Out In The Sticks - photographs

This year for the second time Out In The Sticks Cultural Centre participated in the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. Actually this year it should have been called Pinhole Photography Week - the organizers extended the dates when you can take pinhole photographs to be uploaded on their website, because of Easter falling on the regular date of the event (which is normally last Sunday of April).
We had 7 participants this year and we had a lot of great fun.

Learn how to use a Pinhole Camera, make your own or borrow one from us, take pinhole pictures and post them to this international event website (www.pinholeday.org). Participation $ 20 (cost of materials).
